"Kirby Vortex" is a reference to Jack Kirby, king of comics. I don't have the space here to explain. Do a search on "Jack Kirby", to find out the ton of pioneer work he did for comics.

When somebody uses "Kirby" for some art technique; they are saying that the technique used is somehow like or taken from how Jack drew the technique.

For example: Kirby crackle, Kirby perspective, Kirby squiggle, Kirby exaggeration, etc.

Jack (King) Kirby is still a big influence on my art. (hope this helps)

I dig the Kirby dots (man never got enough respect for all the things he's done for the medium) and the cool, sporty look on PG. I think you just got a new fan.

Power Girl is the Earth-2 version of Supergirl who has:
Survived the destruction of her universe in "Crisis on Infinite Earths".
Shrugged off DC's attempt to retcon her to fit in her new universe.
Survived the reboot to the New-52 universe with her Earth-2 history intact.

Yeah, she's that tough.

I really like this. I honestly think this is the best Power Girl you've done, the style works very well and conveys a ton of personality. One image and I'm thinking I'd love to see an animated series of this.
Some would complain about her having the "Superman Shield", but I think it's actually a better look for her.

Wanderingbishop - The little black dots suspended in the purple are known as "Kirby dots" and they are frequently used in comics, and in fact have been since they were created by Jack Kirby way back in the day. You can see them regularly in comics in both Marvel and DC.

Requoting HWalsh, as he should've just used the "Reply Button": Wanderingbishop - The little black dots suspended in the purple are known as "Kirby dots" and they are frequently used in comics, and in fact have been since they were created by Jack Kirby way back in the day. You can see them regularly in comics in both Marvel and DC.

Again, that's HWalsh's reply. Not mine. My response is simply that it's pseudo-science-speak for "Immensely heavy barbell".
