I went through an old archive of work I had done years back. Found this reaaaally crappy piece of Wolverine 'art' I did around 7 years ago. Figured I'd give the same piece another go.

You learn things from looking at your old art. Well at least I do. Fear of posing back then was one of them. I didn't feel I could pull off better body curves, I also was afraid of expressions a lot more than I am now. Hence the blacked out face of Creed up there. Anyhow...I'd like to believe I've made some progress in 7 years. A little.

The blackout on Victor's face actually looks pretty artzy. The style you had back then wasn't that horrible. It's just styalized. It kinda reminds me of the Hellboy comics. The one you have that's a bitnewer is really good too. The lines are softer and the muscle more defined but it's still got that definite air of a fight waiting to happen between those two.

i like both. The one to the left is more detailed, but the blacking out of victor's face on the right makes the picture seem more ominous. :)

I personally like the way Sabretooth looks on the right. It's kinda got this Todd McFarlane feel to it. He liked to just show teeth and eyes when a menacing character came out of the shadows. If the background was darker it'd really work.
